Usain Bolt wins gold in men's 200 metres final at World Athletics Championships in Daegu
Usain Bolt once again offered the world the greatest sight in sport as he roared to the world 200 metres title here in the fourth fastest time ever recorded.

Six days after his extraordinary implosion in the 100m when he false started, the great Jamaican made stupendous amends with the performance of the championships, clocking 19.40secs as he quite destroyed the best half-lap runners in the world.

Only Bolt himself, twice, and Michael Johnson have ever previously run faster than this and though Bolt did not threaten the extraordinary landmark of 19.19sec that he had set in Berlin two years ago, this demolition job, as he had more than three metres to spare over American Walter Dix at the line, demonstrated that he is back to near his very best.
